I’m not sure when it happened, but suddenly I NEED a pair of loafers. I know I haven’t worn them since I was a kid and I’ve called them ugly for years. Maybe y’all still think they’re ugly. Maybe they are old lady shoes. Maybe I’m an old lady. Well I knew that already.
My new “job” will require closed toed shoes and I’m so sick of my flats being flimsy and not having any support (old person thought). I think loafers are a great compromise because I just don’t want to wear heels all day and my flats hurts my feet almost as much. They look great with ankle slacks for work or with jeans on the weekends. I think my mother will prefer them over my chucks. Agreeing with my mother on my footwear choice just may be the last step into adulthood. Ugh.
Anyway, I have not bought a pair yet and these are the ones I’m eyeing. Quite a spread in terms of price point, but all under $200. I’ll let you know if I ever make a decision!
